EQEmuLoginServer - can't get a character to load
 
I'm running a local login server for some testing and everything appears to be fine, except I can't actually get a character into the world.
I can see the server list and get to character select, but when I choose a character and try to enter world, it just sits there until it times out and takes me back to the login screen.

In this case I'm connecting from my lan and the server is installed on my gateway machine. I've also tried running a login server from one of my regular server hosts (off-site) and get the same behavior.
Any ideas?

Look at the rest of your logs for errors. What version of the source code and database are you running?

I don't find any other errors. The only thing that's notable is that the zone boots up, waits for it's hold period and then shuts down. There is no mention of a connection in the zone log (not sure if there should be, world sees the connection and the logs there look like they always do), but there aren't any errors either.

The emu server version is 1887 and the login server version is 1961, although it was all 1887 when I first tried it.

The external server I tested was up and running on the regular LS, I just switched it over to test it out.
