Zone not Available, EQTime.cfg, No Zone Server
 

A bit of background:

Running a "boredom server" on my laptop for local play when I'm bored. I downloaded the EQEmu_Rev1887 compiled binary, and imported the db_dump.sql from the repo, I then updated the from the /sql/svn repo for all sql dumps from 1900+.

I had a few issues, such as world, zone and login servers not talking, fixed that (minor error of not paying attention to port numbers). Then I ran into the issue of my server not showing on the login screen, fixed that as well (easy fix of the Admin/Password bit in the eqemu_config file.

Now I see my server in the list although it still states "Closed". I can create a toon, name him, everything. When I go to enter world I receive "Zone not available" error message. Nothing to do but close out.

Looking through my logs, eqemu_debug_world is the only one right off showing me issues, for your viewing pleasure I've included a copy. I've been tackling this issue for 6 hours now and honestly, I'm out of ideas and mind is becoming gelatinous. I would appreciate a second look and perhaps some advice. Eventually the goal is to go private (or public) with a few ideas I had in my noggin, so I'd like to start local and build, play, be bored, etc.

Are there any zone logs in your log directory? It would seem zones aren't starting.

If you downloaded the pre-built 1887 then it is expecting a version 1887 database. You might be ok with the db_dump.sql if you do not apply any of the newer updates to it.

Do not apply updates? Hmm ok, let me purge the db and reimport the dump.

Going to purge and redump db to attempt.

I did notice in most guides it says the maps directory in the repo should be ~3gb, mine's only 600mb give or take straight from the repo, if that matters any for this particular issue.

And using straight db_dump.sql the end result is inability to see servers again. If I import the updates in the /sql/svn repo I can again see my server and log in, but right back to the original issue.

Scratch this issue, sorry. Decided to compile and stay up-to-date and perhaps track down issues a bit easier. Compiling source now.

Ok, compiled from new source. Imported and began from scratch, the only change; I compiled.

I imported all sql's properly (to my knowledge, db_dump, eqemulogins, tbls, and updates in /sql/svn).

Everything appears to run fine, but still "No Zone server available to boot up" in world.exe, and zone unavailable in client.

The logs are damn close to what I've already posted earlier.

Ok so I ignored the .bat file.

Started Zone.exe and waited for it to sleep.
Started World.exe and waited for it to yell no login server.
Starter EQEmuLoginServer.exe and waited for world to connect.

All good, now my server displays and says "Up" instead of closed. Now, I run into Spawn2 errors in zone.exe and world.exe keeps attempting to connect tutorialb over and over.

Got it, apparently even sql files in the svn directory are required despite how they're marked... I thought I was good by installing just ones marked required_ but nope, I was wrong. Need everything 1900+ that's not optional_

I'm in game now, server windows throw a bunch of warnings and errors now and again but thus far doesn't seem to impact much.

If it isn't marked optional then it is required.

Ok I have some questions about this. If I am running peqdb_rev2027.sql do I need any of the updates?

I backed up prior to updating the 1711_account_restricted_aa.sql as per one of the tutorials and the query failed to update because the table was all there.

I randomly searched through the "required" updates and it appeared on inspection that they were there already.

Would any of these fix my issue with unable to 'rest' issue from the client? Just looking back over any errors which might cause my issue and this one showed up on search vie eqtime.cfg
