how come when i run eq its REAL laggy and some colors are pi

when i start eqw the shit goes so slow and it loads from top to bottom its so slow. whats causing this? i just patched eq

1. Make sure your desktop bpp depth is set to 16 and nothing higher, then try to run it.
2. Update your video card drivers
