NPC's wont take items and only give items sometimes.
 

When i try to turn in gnoll fangs on a server i just launched the npc just hands them back. My friend paslie said she could receive certain quest items from an npc in qeynos (but not all) - she hasnt tried turning anything in yet (i did and it didnt work, they just handed my stuff back).

Any feedback is appreciated - thanks to all the folks earlier who helped me get this far. :)

Post up the quests so we can troubleshoot them. Use the code tags around each quest so they are easier to read.

Okay, i tried once but i think Vbulletin got bugged since it didnt show. I restarted server and heres what the logs show, One npc (one in tutorial b who wants mushrooms to help injured troops) took the mushroom and gave me something, so maybe its only some quests? my friend paslie said the quest i tested after the mushroom one (the one that didnt work for me but did for her with the exception of gaunlets) which didnt work for me at all while the mushroom one did. heres the logs:

debug zone (im think this is one that for sure shows the error but i could be wrong, its only certain quests i guess.)

Not the logs, the actual quest file for the npc. It's found in the quests/zonename directory under your server. If you don't have that directory then that's your problem and you should check one of the guides for information about how to get them from svn and where to put them.

Note: also found out my guild window isn't active for some reason and my clerics pet doesnt have any other working command (buttons are greyed out) other than to make the pet go away.
Inspecting others or myself doesn't work either, on the other pc it doesnt even say "___" is inspect your gear or whatnot.

for my friend aslie all but gauntlets worked, for me none worked but other quests did... however the fangs quest for qeynos didnt work either for me.

As you should be able to see, those are not .sql files, they are .pl (perl) files.
Did you download the latest quests and place the quest folder in your EQEmu server directory?

they -are- the perl files, i accidently typed .sql, my bad. :( (i fixed it AND checked it - they -are- the perl files... how do i know if they are up to date or if any are missing?
again, i still cant access my guild window, have my pet do anything other than go away and i also cant inspect or be inspected by anyone (including seeing their/my secondary inventory.)

any ideas?

The latest version of the quests can be found at:

You will need an svn client to checkout the repository.
TortoiseSVN is a good choice if you're using Windows.

The server may not have the check_handin plugin. Make sure that check_handin.pl is in your quests/plugins folder.
The svn repo does contain this file, so it would be best to checkout the latest revision.

If you decide to use TortoiseSVN then make a folder called quests and checkout on this link:
http://projecteqquests.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/

Check_handin.pl is there,so is the quests folder (i know all the proper foldrs and stuff are there too but there may be a few things missing, if i resource will i have to do anything else to make it work (like copy any files anywhere) or is it pretty immediate?

relative to -this- guide, which steps would i need to repeat to source the missing tables in properly? (sorry, still pretty new, like do i have to rebuild and stuff?.)
