I was intrigued by the change in dmg/dly in the monk's fist by this item.


I wanted to know, how exactly does a hand item directly affect a monk's hands?

Damage:
Code:

        if (IsClient() && CastToClient()->GetItemIDAt(12) == 10652)
                return(9);

Delay:
Code:

        if (IsClient() && CastToClient()->GetItemIDAt(12) == 10652)
                return(16);

In other words, it's hardcoded in the server. I assume on Sony servers they either did something similar for this one case, or they overengineered some generic system to allow it.

Ahh, I see. Thank you Lerxst. Always so informative. So if I felt like recompiling, I could add my own twist to a set of these types of items?
