zone.exe crashing?
 
Okay. I have followed all the steps in the most recent setup guide that I could find. It is the one that uses the new Cmake and git bash for the source files. Everything seems to work fine except that zone.exe doesn't just seem to crash it just fails to finish loading altogether. Here are the logs involved when starting zone.exe by itself.

Looks like something wrong with your Perl. If you're compiling for 32-bit you want to use Perl 5.12 which is available here: http://eqemu.github.com/

I will try again with 5.12 of perl but the last time I uninstalled 5.16 which is what I am using right now, it told me that zone.exe wouldn't run without 5.16 specifically. Is there a way to fix that error? Will I need to recompile or something?

EDIT -- The above worked lol i've been messing with this for most of the day without success and all I was missing was recompiling after I installed the old perl

Did this work just with recompiling? I accidentally installed 5.16 first (wasn't working.)

Now it's erroring on zone.exe after re-installing 5.12. I've recompiled/loaded the new exes, still no go. Must be missing something here....
