I have a problem.
 

Hi folks!
Well, I haven't posted anything before now, I've searched and read through every topic on every problem I've had before asking and got the help I needed from just reading and always come out alright.
I've been trying to get this emu up for about two weeks now, which has included patching for 4 full nights from my Kunark disk on my dial-up, I've had every error and problem mentioned in these forums, and thanks to all you fine people it's turned out pretty well...until now.
I see quite a few problems with getting disconnected, but there never is any real possible answer for it. I'm at this point. I can log my character into the world and each time I get disconnected in under 30 seconds. I'm still pretty happy just to be able to log in, but would really like to play!
I'm running 98, I have downloaded EVERYTHING current, I've changed datarate.txt, I'm fully patched as of last night (10-29), and as far as I can tell, I'm sure I've done everything correctly, and even redone everything more than once.
Any help I can get on this would be greatly appreciated by myself and others I'm sure who are battling the emu in this same manner!

I forgot to add that I am using Minilogin (locally only)and that I am also running this all on one computer.

The most I could say would be that EQ is taking too much system resources and the emulator is left with too little to run, and you get disconnected.

If you were on XP or 2K I could provide a fix, however I don't believe you have access to process priorities on 98. Try connecting to a server hosted on the EQEmu login server, and if you recieve the same results let me know. Otherwise you may just be screwed, unless: you can upgrade your OS, find a way to change priorities in 98, or get a better system (ram\processor wise).
