Seeds of Destruction

In the Wiki it says that SoD is no longer available by legal means. This is not true. Amazon.com has it as a Downloadable Sale.

if anyone is interested.

Feel free to purchase that download, but don't be disappointed when you realize it doesn't work with EQEmu. Our client compatibility is made for very specific client versions and the downloads you get from Amazon are NOT the same downloads our client compatibility was made for from the Steam clients.

From what I have heard, the Amazon downloads are only partial client installs to begin with and are missing most of the files. Their downloads expect you to patch to get all of the files and most recent client. The Steam downloads included a complete (or very close) client for the versions that were available at that time, which is why we worked on compatibility specifically for the Steam clients. I am sure that the client build date from the Amazon downloads do not match any of our compatible build dates shown here:

In other words; do not purchase the Amazon digital download as recommended in the above post!

The Seeds of Destruction was only available through steam i believe. I could be wrong though.

Technically, it was available from a few different sources (Steam, Amazon, SOE, and probably others), but the client compatibility for EQEmu was made specifically for the version that came from Steam at the time. None of the others would work, unless you had the exact patch version from Live for one of the dates listed in the link in my last post (which is not very likely).
