sadly I just witnessed the SOE EQ Next anouncement... THANK GOD I have emulators. THANK YOU all again for your help keeping this game alive. I just cant stomache the thought of a disney eq wanta be

I thought some of it was exciting. I loved the introduction sand art work! The game art direction is not to my tastes but we did not get to see much of dark dungeon like areas. The 'grails' were meh/been done except for the fourth.

the game "art" direction seems to be lifted right of Disney cartoons...

The graphics look Ok.. I would rather have this style than some Uber high reso lagfest. Good choice imo.

I'll give you that kerrans are crap lol.. I kinda like the humans though. Can't wait to see other races.

That's what happens when you want to easily show emotions, over exaggerating the eyes is the easiest way. (Which is the same reason Disney and anime art styles have larger than normal eyes)

Kinda reminiscent of FF XI..but I did like that

The face is over-brightened due to the capability of facial features making it look like a cartoon, something is brighter when you know it's going to move, then it moves...

Game sounds amazing in theory.

I wonder if SOE has use Pixar Studio to help with the facial animations. lol The Kerran looks more like a Vah Shir which I like a lot more.

I do like the overall concept of their introductions. I like the concept of making it it a non static spawns throughout the world. I'm kind of looking forward to it TBH.

I am looking forward to it. I'm not lusting over it as I already do not expect it to live up to the announcements.

It's very Disney looking humans looked like Aladdin and vah shir looked a lot like Lion King if dark elves look like little mermaid that's like a slap in the face too cartoon looking and vivid color scheme.

Will have to see how EQnext shapes up it's too hard to judge right now. I do think the animations and emote expressions looked fantastic though despite the color palette and cartoon looking aspect to the graphic engine.

Perhaps the vah shir can look drastically more evil depending on the face you choose and the armor you equip the armor in the demo looked entirely too much like a WoW Paladin for example.
