Character dump?
 

Hello,
I was wondering if it was something possible to transfer characters from Al'kabor to PEQ?
If yes, is there a way of helping in it?

1.magelo -> save copy of profile

2.then load up gm account (some of it can be done via db) and start giving all those things to a player

3.transfer complete!

To PEQ? No.

I believe he meant from database to database, not server to server, I'm not 100 percent sure though.

database to database is easy

just do a

insert into newdb.tablename (fields)
select (fields) from olddb.tablename where ...

assuming you have them both setup as separate DBs

if you need help provide some hints (or whatever level of deatil including full details that you are comfortable with) as to the specifics and we(or I) can write you example sql that might match your situation.

I'm pretty sure they're asking about transferring EQMac toons to an EQEmu server, so the only way would be to manually recreate them (I don't think EQMac has magelo or scripting tools that would it easy to get a list of items)

So this question is asking live -> EQEmu transfers, and they most likely did mean to PEQ since a lot of EQMac players have recently started playing there.

That is what was being asked. There is a magelo for EQMac, but it is self populated and thus can technically contain anything that the user puts in there. That makes it not a valid source to allow them to export from.
