I just wanted to let everybody know that things aren't working out for me right now and I am close to being homeless due to financial issues and spontaneous problems within my real life family. I don't have the time or energy to be a server administrator right now. It's simply not possible with having to work so much and barely if at all making ends meet. An EQemu server takes hours of dedication and time and I think it's unfair to everybody to try and keep something going I am hardly working on right now and it's not fair to my family who needs me right now to spend hours of time sitting at my computer.

You the players need a dev and leader who can stick with it and be there for you to help you. I might (if my life gets better) get another server going in the future. I hardly have time to type this out, but I wanted to let you all know how things are going with me and have decided to pull the plug because I am just not able to continue with this right now. I greatly apologize and thank all of you who donated and helped me out with all my heart for the hours I invested into the older servers, (even though they were short lived sadly) which kills me inside I couldn't deliver a longer lived server for you all.

I hope you all have a good life and happy holidays. Good luck to all of the up-coming devs out there as well. EQemu wouldn't be anything without your devoted innovation and support.

Good luck to you Drakiyth, life is more important than EQEmu and you can always come back to it. It is healthy to take a declared break from it especially when it can be incredibly demanding.

To others - no need to flame Drak, he is making a sincere post - any dirt about his servers does not belong here.

Good luck Drak, keep your head up and wait for the wheel. Right now you're stuck under it in the mud, it'll keep turning.

Sorry to hear man. I too know the hardships of life and they can be quite unbearable at times. Continue to push forward and stay positive and hopefully one day you can get back into the swing of things.
