UCS - Occasional Lost Connection

I notice that sometimes during a slightly longer than normal zone time I will get a UCS disconnect message and the only way I can get it back is to zone again. Does anyone else get this with their servers? I never go link dead when zoning, even when playing for 8 hours, just the occasional UCS message.

I would use the channels more often but UCS has not been reliable. It is hard for me to encourage my players to use it, it is a hit and miss on working.

PEQ gets them all the time, no one has really looked into it though

As long as I know it is not just me :)

It seems very live-like, cause their chat goes down all the time too. :)

It's called a feature.

A solution if you're not already doing it is to loop the .exe, so if it crashes, then it will start it right back up. Just run your chatserver with the .bat script rather than the .exe alone.

Code:

:LOOP
ucs.exe
GOTO LOOP

Mine is of the Linux flavor, it never dies...but clients lose connection. Once you zone it normally reconnects.
