Macro Question
 

When macros are created on a character in game, where are those stored?

In the databse or in the client? Whichever it is I haven't been able to locate them.

Once they are located, is it possible to copy them to other characters?

Inside the main Everquest Folder... file is named like this...


Charactername_ServerName.ini

inside the file there is a part called.. "socials" ... looks like this...

[Socials]
Page2Button1Name=RAWR
Page2Button1Color=13
Page2Button1Line1=/ooc RAWR!

That's exatly what I thought but when I copy those files over to other characters or use copylayout the macros never show up.

You have to be logged out to copy it.

Yep did that but tey won't show up in the character I copied the .ini to. The macro list is blank. Strange. I'll keep playing with it.

I don't know what client you're using..but, one of the ones I use has an import UI feature with buttons for hotkeys, socials, etc...

Using the UF client.
