Has anyone done the rough math?

Out of curiosity. Are there any rough tables to upload/player ratio also a Ram/Player Ratio.

Like how much ram does a single person require and say how much would an average server need say a pop of 50 And same with the upload.

sizeof Client = ~38Kb. Maybe more like 50Kb considering container space, kernel packet buffer, and so on. Maybe another 40Kb or so if they have a lot of items in their bank. Pretty insignificant compared to everything else in a zone, overall.

That really is a hard call...

I guess you could get a good baseline with most of it..but, pets/mercs/bots and actual number of item instances will be a wildly varying factor since these
create additional instances as opposed to just modifying existing values in the base object memory. And don't forget the overhead of running a debug version.

That is true. Having lots of aug'd gear would bloat the inventory size too. Maybe you have big client scripts too on a custom server.

I'd still guesstimate the baseline ballpark around 0.1 to 0.2Mb per player, maybe up to 0.5 to 1 at the extreme end.
