Trouble with shared_memory
 
Hi
I'm encountering a problem when launching my eqemu server.
Anyone able to see what I am doing wrong here?

I had a problem with load spells once... it was because I had a spell that had NULL values in certain columns.. might be your issue too if you recently added spells.
(or maybe it was the client files exporter... not sure)

Either way.. its a possibility!

Also might want to check the shared folder and check to make sure the files inside aren't read only as well.

You'll see this:

This means that your shared_memory.exe is crashing when it attempts to load spells, meaning you may have an issue in your spells_new table with a NULL column, a conflicting spell in the table, or possibly even a corrupt table.

(assuming you grabbed a recent peq dump...)

If you clicked on the 'peqbeta_2014-07-23-02:01.tar.gz' link instead of a more recent one..there's probably a sql update that needs to be added.

Don't run that unless you're 100% sure that you have an older db version.

Thanks for the repies.
I did use the latest release (peqbeta_2014-08-11-02_01), but I've tried rebuilding it again with the same error as a result.

Hi again. Seems the new database needs the 2014_08_02_spells_new.sql to work as well. That one did the trick. Server is up and running now at least. Thanks guys :)

Is it just the '2014_08_02_spells_new' that needs to be sourced in as of this post date/time?
