Hosting WAN Server Problem
 

Hi,

I have been able to setup my own EQEmu server via a LAN setup, it all works with different PCs being able to connect to the server and enter the game world. When I amend my server for a WAN setup my friend tries to connect and is able to see my server on the sever status list, however when clicking on connect it hangs on the server status screen and after around five minutes it sends them back to the login screen.

I have port forwarded all the correct ports and I am able to see them join via the login server, up to when the login server disconnects them. Please could you advise why this maybe happening and if you require any more information to help resolve this problem.

There are no obvious problems occuring within the log files.

I had a similar problem recently, and it turned out to be the use of local addresses in the world-server config.
