How do I find item numbers?

Fixed my earlier problem and since I been the only one here.

I can get into game and have read up on commands, flagged myself a Gm and all of that.

Now, how do I search or summon an item? (bearing in mind I know the command for search or summoning an item, but I don't know any of the item numbers?)

Any sort of listing anywhere?

ohh I fixed this.

I just started again, restarted my machine deleted Mysql, and the older version I had of Emu.

And it all runs.

Now I am getting 1001 cannot connect :p

The readme file on the main eqemu website menu has all the commands including #itemsearch #findspell #castspell, etc.

Section 5 in the readme is all the commands.

Yeah I know, I said I knew the commands ;p

What I need is, say for instance, Bone Chips - ID Number 1050.

I mean there are like 35,000 items in the game, if I am looking for 1 item, I have to go through 35,000 items til I reach that item?

What I could really use is a comprehensive and perhaps even sorted item listing.

Sorted by class, sorted by race.

That sort of thing.

I can't believe everyone else using EQEmu is going thru 35,000 objects each time they want to check out an items abilities/stats.

No, like I said, use: #itemsearch Bone Chips or even #itemsearch Bone. How could you possibly browse 35000 items at a time anyways? It is automatically cut off at 20 items listed I believe.

Or are you talking about Mysql parsing the entire table? It would have to anyways no?

Excellent, when I did #summon item it was giving me a x , x number, so i was fiddling around and got a few things up, but that is a hell of a lot easier.

Thanks for the tip.
