Bard Instruments - Focus Effect: Unknown Spell
 

On my server, using a modified PEQ database, ALL bard instruments (including the untouched default PEQ instruments) do not show their bard instrument mod in the item inspect window. Instead, they show nothing but "Focus Effect: Unknown Spell"

Does anyone have a solution to this? Surely there are servers that utilize bard instruments and have figured out why this happens and how to circumvent it?

Is the effect being applied to the song?

If so, probably unknown dbstr string.

There isn't actually a focus effect on any of these items. They are only displaying that way in-game. The items themselves are statless bard instruments with basic skill modifiers (+10 wind instruments for example) but are NOT showing that in-game

Just checked this on an appropriately leveled Bard on the RoF2 client, and the contents of the item cells Bardtype and Bardvalue do not seem to be displayed either in the item info or the character window. They do show up on #Showstats.

As a temporary workaround for this problem, I have removed the bard effect value from my instruments, and have replaced it with a skill mod to the chosen skill. This works for now until this gets fixed at the source
