Stream of new accounts
 

I set up a server recently and had no activity and then yesterday I started getting a new account every 2 to 3 mins like a machine was setting them up. They all showed as random IP's in the world.exe window when they connect and random account names. They never make a character but they keep creating accounts. I'm not sure what the goal of it is but I am wondering if anyone else has had this happen on their server.
I locked my server for a day and then unlocked it and almost immediately the accounts started rolling in again every 2-3 mins.

No idea, haven't noticed that.

I have quite a few no character accounts but nothing that common. Definitely weird.

Maybe you stole p99's ID (it probably kepot thee same ID since its up so long) and people are hitting quick connect?

Ahh, that's a good thought. Makes a lot of sense.

Was probably p99 autoconnects as it appears to have stopped - I hope that's all it was.

Never even thought of this (the quick connect). I never use it because it sometimes points me at different servers (which of course equals my account being registered with no characters).

Login Server Limit
 

What is the limit to how many login servers that World can login to? So far I am seeing a limit of two, I just want to confirm that.

Yea, eversince P99 had its down time I had an increase of accounts on my dev server, very odd. filled up an entire page in the Online PEQ Editor in like 20 min..

I had more than normal this week. Ignore my earlier post, meant to go to it's own thread....oops.
