This is a WARNING to everyone, not to patch the game to the current EQLive version. This will not work with version 0.3.13. If you do in fact patch it, the EQEmu will not work. If you have, simply wait for the next update of the EQEmu and it should work fine. Also, I am having trouble compiling my own edited source of the EQEmu. I tried the Borland C++ compiler but it is too complicated.

If anyone knows step-by-step about how to compile the EQEmu will they please post it here. Also, I am 14 and I don't have $400 to spend on a C++ compiler. Please make the instructions for Borland or something else that is free.

Finally, if I am still having trouble, I will just post my source here and hopefully one of you will be nice and compile it for me and in turn, I will do something for you, anything. Thanks a lot guys, keep up the good work.

The latest patched changed eqmain.dll I was able to use the EQEmu 3.13 with it as of last night.

One problem I had also occured before patching. I was unable to enter world from the char selection screen unless the target zone was already up and running. Once in the game things worked fine when zoning. This MAY not show up on servers with more CPU power, mine was just a 400MHz with the client on the same machine.

I am not sure how you accomplished it. Post your system Specs, the server you are running, and expansions you have so that we can solve this problem and help others.

I've also had no issues, patched yesterday. Only problem I had was if my friend and I got booted, one of us would have to wait a few seconds before we could log in, because the "zone not available" message would pop up... other than that..

I'd give you a copy of Visual Studio 6.0 if you lived here. :(

Try:

Dev-C++ is a free download. Not too shabby of an IDE
and comes with thier own compiler, but you can also
use GNU's also.
