Lag on servers. Very bad lag.
 

I got my server made, but the lag is horrible. Took like 15 minutes to get on. Any ideas?

Tried EQW by chance? or are you running eqw.

Lag should die forever. :P
 

Yes, I was using, and still am using EQW. This time when I tried it I went afk for 6 minutes and the `Finished Loading World` message was up, but then my computer froze, so yeah. No idea what to do here.

Post your system specs:

Processor
Speed
RAM
Video Card

To find these goto Start, Run, and then type in "dxiag"

It should show you your speed and ram and click on the display tab to see the specs on your video card.

Intel, 733 MHz, 512 RAM, and some cheap video card that came with my comp. I'm getting a new one for Christmas, and a new videocard with it, obviously. But my video card still works on regular EQ fine, and everything else is good.

On the main EQ screen, go to options and turn down some of the options including the high resolution textures. Also, make sure you only have MiniLogin, World, 5 Zone Files, mysql admin and EQW running. If that doesn't work, I don't know what to tell you.
