Problem starting 3.13
 

Ive followed the instructions from the post "Sticky: Newbie Walkthrough for creating a LOCAL server, 7 easy steps " to work mini login.

But everythime i start mini log in , then world.exe , then boot5zones , an error message from zone.exe comes up (Zone.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.) and the boot5zones stuff stops working and closes.

Here is what i have in the files.

Well I fixed the error problems but now when i get to server select screen there is no server to go to. just a blank server screen.

That's real weird. I've never had that problem ever. You sure that you did everything exactly right? Check the readme too, if you didn't do that.

Well i fixed that problem by just taking out the old loginserver and re extrating the original to do it over.

Now the server shows up but when i try and log on i get a 1017 error. any clues?

What is the text of the error?

Error 1017: Cannot login to the Everquest server.
You may need to re-run the update patch. repeatedly seeing this message indicates a loss of conectivity to the patch server. This is usually temporary.

I think I got it. First of all, though, what does your world.exe file say when this happens?

I think its the same thing you had in your post.
Says

127.0.0.1: Wrong name/pass: name='eqemu'
Removing Client from ip:127.0.0.1 port 3272

Yeah, I know how to fix it. You have AIM? If not, post and I'll respond this way.

whats your aim name? mines dempgg

I'm having that problem with the connectivity error also.. any ideas?

world.exe adduser eqemu eqemu 200

Most likely fix, if that dosn't do it, see minilogin.ini
