Any help with grey screen/ eq not responding

ANy suggestions would be helpful please.

Steps -
I read the tutorial from http://wiki.eqemulator.org/p?Play_Gu...etting_Started

I downloaded the Seeds of Destruction client from Steam (I bought it in 2009).

Made and verified a login server through the link on the tutorial.

Changed the path of the Shortcut.

Logged into the server select screen (after resetting my password as it didn't initially work (DB error)).

Picked P99.

Grey Screen, Everquest not responding.

Now, if this is due to the fact that I did not use Titanium Edition, could you please change the tutorial to reflect that or am i doing something else wrong?

Thanks very much in advance for your comments.

Ian

Ok you bought SoD on steam back in 2009 but when did you actually download it? If it was recently then that is the problem. That download has been changed several times and only certain ones will work.

P1999 only works with Titanium if I am not mistaken. Almost forgot that.

As we all know, the variety of customized servers usually have custom files to add to your
eq client folder to play on their server. (P99 being one of them). Myself, I found it beneficial
to use a little hard drive space and have multiple copies of the client, besides the original.
I have about 8 different EQ icons on my desktop for logging in to various custom servers,
as well as my own. Not really feasible for someone running an ancient 20gb drive though :P
