boot5zones.bat (read here, done everything, still wont work)
Everytime I run boot5zones.bat it gets to where it loads emusharemem.dll and then comes up with the Windows XP error with debug, send error report, and close. I copied spells_en.txt into the eqemu directory, I have world.exe running, it has the right IP address.. Once again I have windows xp, I am on a dial-up connection, and I am running version 0.3.13. boot5zones.bat looks like this...
REM: ****Read this first!!!**** REM: This file requires your real IP in the place of "YourIP" when you are connecting REM: To the EQEmu Loginserver. REM: When you are using minilogin, Replace all IP Addresses to say 127.0.0.1 REM: If you still get errors try using localhost instead of 127.0.0.1 REM:--------------Start----------------------- @echo off start zone . 192.168.254.1 7995 192.168.254.1 start zone . 192.168.254.1 7996 192.168.254.1 start zone . 192.168.254.1 7997 192.168.254.1 start zone . 192.168.254.1 7998 192.168.254.1 start zone . 192.168.254.1 7999 192.168.254.1 exit cls REM:---------------END------------------------ |
If you are getting the windows XP error report thing in zone.exe, you ahve to move your spells_en.txt file to your EMU directory from your everquest live directory, without it you will get that error.

Someone needs to put this in the Readme section:
"Are you trying to play online or are you trying to create your own sever offline?" Anyway.. Have you run the minilogin? I don't see that you say you are.. I had this problem also, waaaay in the very beginning, and can't seem to remember what caused it .. Sorry :( |
I found out why it wasn't working!!! I only had half of the spells_en.txt file copied for some reason... Anyways, thanks for all of your help!
