Help with installing my EQ
 

Well i just installed my eq triliogy, and my SoL after reformatting and reinstalling windows. Well i open everquest.exe to begin the patch, but what is a popup error message saying "The D3D8.DLL file is linked to missing export DDRAW.DLL:DdEntry12"

Now first messsage i got was one saying i did not have D3D8.DLL so i D/Led it off a website and put it in my windows/system/ folder. No luck tho i guess, anyone know an answer to this?

hard to say, could be bad hardware somewhere, could be bad software somewhere. could really be anything. I would personally get a hardware troubleshooter and check system, then check for viruses, then update drivers blah blah blah =)

Install DirectX8.1 - should fix it.

Which OS did you install?

Since the patches for the Velious expansion, you have to use DirectX 8.1 (and not the 8.0).

It's compatible with Windows 98/98SE/ME, Win2K/XP and NT4 SP6 (<-- sure you wont use this one)... You cant play any more with Windows 95. Thats why VI reimburse part of their players, two years ago.
