Login Recovery - Forgot Password
Hello,
I forgot my password for my EQEMU server login. I tried recovering, and it had me try to attach my phone to recover via SMS, but it said an error occurred so I tried again and it 'blacklisted' me for trying too many times(1). This would be for my "Karnaji" login server account. Sounds like this guy in the thread I posted below had the same issue: https://www.project1999.com/forums/s...d.php?t=249300 I'd love to play again, any help would be greatly appreciated if you got a chance.. <3 |
Update, it looks like the guides of P99 just moved my petition to the resolved section, even though it is technically not resolved.

Well they can't help you since you can't prove that you is you.
|
Ask me something that only I would know :P
|
Still looking for any suggestions if they're out there, please.
|
Top suggestion: Make a new account.
Seriously. Take a quick search and look at the graveyard of recovery posts. Your time would be better spent rolling fresh than waiting on this. |
I really don't wanna just give up..
|
You're screwed.
Not sure how all these people lose their accounts....mine has been the same for 12+ years... |
Bring up my post.
|
Going to keep doing a daily bump on this until these people get a real resolution.
|
You will probably get banned before that occurs...
Most of the people who administer this site have no control over the login server and account passwords. So, recurrent bumping does nothing but aggravate the community and those with banning authority :) |

I know for me, it was the fact that it wasn't used for years at a time. New emails, new passwords, etc So, the consensus is it is just best to make a new account, rather than try to recover? |

This makes little sense to me. Everyone who's signed up for an account here should have assigned a private email account to it. This in itself should be considered a secure form of authenticated communication. Anyone who is able to read a password reset message from that private email should be authenticated as the owner of the account, period. Frankly, I never understood this SMS authentication, sure it is convenient, but in general phone numbers change more often that emails.
