How to get Mercs Installed/Working
 

I recently installed EQ EMU via the automated installer and I was able to successfully set up a LAN server that I can log into and play.

I am trying to enable Mercs but I admittedly dont have a clue how to do that. I have changed the setting in the rule_value but I cannot hire any mercenaries.

If I go to the POK and hail a mercenary merchant nothing happens; a windows does not pop up etc. I have read other comments about changing the mercenary merchant's level to 71 but I have not figured out how to do that.

Can anyone please explain to me how to add mercenaires?
