Windows Server Installation Error

Hello!

I'm a complete novice to EQEMU. I am running the Windows install .bat as admin, and I keep getting the following error while the maps.zip file is downloading:

Installation error: stream error: stream ID 1; PROTOCOL_ERROR; received from peer

Any help?

Thanks, NexorEH

Update: This error occurs at the end of the maps.zip download. I went to github and downloaded the latest maps.zip file manually. The browser downloaded the entire file, then failed, leaving the browser's partial download file in place. I hit 'retry' about a dozen times, and the browser finally completed the download. I put the maps.zip file in \users\name\appdata\local\temp and re-ran the eqemu install script, but the script started downloading maps.zip from scratch again.

Problems Resolved

UPDATE:

After running the install script about 20 times, the maps.zip file finally downloaded successfully and the script continued normally. I believe this problem was due to the fact that I use satellite internet (no choice) and we were having very bad weather at the time. (Don't you just love water-soluble internet?)

After the script completed, and after following the post-installation docs, (I thought) my fresh ROF2 client was not able to connect to the server. This was due to the fact that in the Spire web interface, I had not selected to start the login server service, which was marked as 'optional'. Once I selected this service and restarted the server, I was able to connect to the server and play just fine. Huzzah!

Now, my wife and two sons are able to connect to my local server, and we can adventure in a version of Norrath that is not subject to the whims of anyone else.

Thank you, EQEmu folks! :D
