Dumping to desktop after server selection
 

Using EQ Windows and it kicks me to desktop after some bland error messege, any ideas as to whats causeing it?

Is that "bland error message" as bland as this post.

Give us some info, what did the error say, what were you doing, etc. etc. No one can read your mind. There's a SEARCH button you can try to, search for the error you had and see if you can find the answer to your problem.

Its bland cuase it doesnt tell me anything....
 

alls it says is, eqgame.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close, we are sorry for the inconvenience, below that says if you were in the middle of something, the information you were working on might be lost.

Its the most vaugue error ive seen next to a mac bomb,

Patch EQ, don't blame me if it breaks the emulator, but it is the only thing I can think of.

Already did that....
 

Its patched to the latest, still does that error, isnt there a way to start eq without using eqwindows? some command line that makes it run fullscreen? I can try that to avoid an incompatablity with eqwindows...

Patchme Method:

use run (click "start" - "run")
type:

C:\EverQuest\eqgame.exe patchme

(Your location of everquest may be different)

This runs everquest but skips the patcher.

try changing your color quality to 16bit by right clicking on the desktop and then going to properties. then try running eqw again....it might work for you.
