Only have EQ origanal and kunark, Need more???

I only have the original EQ and Kunark. Will the emulator not let me host and play a local game if I don’t have any more of the expansions? I can get the login, world and zones working but when I try to log in is says I don’t have the right version, and to run the patch program to check for updates.

This is the error my minilogin has:
1911248 New client from ip: 192.168.0.1 port: 2153
Client disconnected (eqnc->GetState()=102)
Removing client from ip: 192.168.0.1, port: 2153

The server dosen't need anything other than the spells file from Everquest. Expansions you have installed only limit what zones YOU can access.

This should be moved to the support forum.

As for the expansion question, eqemu enables all the expansions so it doesn't require them all for you to run a server. So if you have the files, you can use them.

and Lurker, you need to fix your link as there are new forums.

I'm trying to be a dumb newb today. :D

The last released minilogin is a bit out of date so you have to hex edit it up to date.

Fortunately someone was kind enough to do this for us,
