Please test my Yellat Me's Server, and post a few words.
 

I am running this system:
Pentium 4 2200Mhz
1 Gigabyte DDR Ram
60 GB 7200Rpm Hard Drive
Direct Connection to Cable Modem (no router) 3.2 Megabits Average Rate
5 Zones at a time.

Did you experience lag?
Did NPC's respond to Hails?
Did you experience alot of Disconnects?

After work i will change the system to disable the #cast and #castspell commands. We will see if this is the source of the problems, and then continue from there. Thank you all for your participation.

Also after work i will turn the zones all the way up and incorporate another gigabyte of Ram and Raid my Server with 2 60 Gigabyte Hard drives. Hopefully it is still operational with Raid.

i'm assuming 3.2 is your downstream..what is your average upstream? most cable companies cap this at either 128, 256 or 512

mine is currently capped at 512 :twisted:

Can you tell me a good site to test it at? I recently had mine uncapped because i complained that i couldnt send pictures to my friends and family because it kept timing out. So they said they removed the cap and i can upload pretty decently now. If you could give me a www address i could check it.

they have a speed test there...i dont care for them as much as others but they do an uplink test

Cool went there and im in North Carolina using the California server here is my results:
Down = 3208
Up= 315

So they rated me and i was at the Dude! level. Dunno what that junk means, but i guess its pretty cool. OK so has anyone been kicked out of the server IMMEDIATELY after joining? The server gone GOMERPYLE on ya?

Please test the server one more time, i just updated and now 20 Zones are up at a time. Will be increasing further if i do not hear any more complaints.

I can not connect to my own server, will be adding my laptop to my computer VIA Crossover cable, and will be trying to connect that way.

OK got a big problem, I can run world perfectly fine. I can even boot up 20 zones with no problem. The problem comes in game. Create a charactor and enter world. Within about 8 seconds of entering the world my connectivity bar goes to 0 on the right side. Which tells me that i am having a BIG problem. Any tips or perhaps an educated guess as to what is going on? I already changed my IP address to a DynDNS address and all that. Hmm perhaps I AM TEH SUXXORZ ATDUH EVURKWEST

if your server will be still up at 9:00 EST i will log on from my end and do a good test against it...

with a 300 or upstream though dont expect to get too many people on at once.

one thing to test if you are having that issue it to try different starting cities....i have the same issue sometimes in certain zones....such as Plane of Valor...have yet to come up with a fix...

nope not that. I took my laptop up to my friends room and the game works perfectly with pings of around 30 to 35. Packet size is 60 constantly through 75 on ocassion. Well in my barracks the ping is great. Let me try loading up 15 more zones to push it to the max and i will do a little more testing with some friends. 35 zones is decently usable but when i drop it on the main server this baby should cook.
