station name and pass word
 

ok i have made 3 new accounts and it has been almost 3 days now, and i still get the 0016error stating invaild station name and password. i have backedup all files.

running winme
800mgh
512ram

i have patched on regular server then changed eqhost.
i have and still are looking in the forms and no answer yet.

What is the exact error? Does it say the words "Station Name" in it?

When did you patch? If you got the newest patch, don't worry about the user/pw problem, even if you get it fixed, emu will not work for you. Also, I don't believe emu gives a STATION user/pw error, am I correct? So that might mean that you did not change eqhost or you just ran patch and it re-patched eqhost again. It might give the station user/pw error, so don't quote me on that, but I believe they changed the wording if you have eqhost right.

ok well u were right on the eqhost bit. when i made my copy of the eq file i was useing the patcher for my main copy. in which was takeing me the regulare server. now i re checked all stuff and bam il loaded got to servers. and then it told me that i needed to rerun patch. now this might be on of 2 things. as u said the the new patch of eq shut down the eqmu (yes or no)
. now i only had the everquest kunark,classic,and velious unstalled. and then i patched with live server. now i installed the lucent thinking this might be the problem. but its patching now. i think i have the right files i need to patch the eq file after it updates in order to play but as this not being my first progaming obstecal(however it spelled) it is the first EQset up useing player server. if u could give me a bit of guideance it would be appreciated.

Patch as of January 9th 2003, officially BROKE the emu. That means if you patched, you won't be able to play/host on a server until the dev team fixes this. Please don't ask for an ETA, you will not get one mainly because no one knows when it will be finished. Also don't ask for EQ files pre-patch, you won't get them and you might be banned for asking as it is warez

if i have the pre patch files would that allow me to get on a server

correct, but be sure you have the December 19th patched. I believe thats the date that patched before this one.

well i have one pc that has not be played since before xmas. i not sure which files i need but ill fool around with it. but are the servers eveing working

as soon as i put my good patch in it worded. i got loaded to a server . but as it loaded right before the char. screen it took me to the desk top . any ideas

You might have the wrong patch, did you try more than 1 server?

yes i have tried all them plus the server i made. it shows me loggin on to the server then right before the char. screen taken to desk top.

i have the 12dec02 update i think

ill have to check

any help would be help full. also when looking at the server screen there is a few servers with people on them so iknow that it can be done.

My bet is you have the wrong patch :( I can get on servers just fine.
