Problem whit patching
 

when i Login whit my user and pick's a Server it says

Error 1017: Cannnot login to the Everquest server.
You may need to re-run the Uppdate patch. Repeatedly seeing this message indicates a loss of connectivity to the Patch Server. This is usually temporary

yeah i get the same error, is it because we patched to the latest and the current emu isnt compatible with it yet?... reply please.

and before you ask, there is nothing you can do about it :)

There is something they can do about it.......wait :lol:

or go back in the future a week before the patch and read the EQEMu news.

i really think this is cool , the whole emu thing i got on a few days ago and was hooked i think this is a great think but i messed up and patched today 1-11-03 and cant get back on to anyones server is there a way to reinstall eq and get on from there i dont know how to back up eq , ok i am a newb but i am willing to learn and i admit that may be my short coming but if there is any way to get this going from anyone that has any ideas please feel free to email me at sedadar@msn.com also i would like to get my server going as well , having trouble with the mysql thing cant get the odbc to take a file using 0.4.8 , i am willing to run this server everyday , i was impressed in the intutive of the concept of this and if some one would help me i could pass this along to some one else , i thank you in advance :arrow: :mrgreen: :twisted: :evil: :twisted: :evil: :twisted:

If you did not make a backup of the EQ files before you patched, there is absolutely nothing you can do.. reinstalling wont work, patching wont work, getting on your hands and knees and praying will not work.


god himself could not get EQEmu working after you patch (god leaves it up to the devs).

i have the same bloody prblem too. I am new to this and cant even play it. What i dont get is why you dont just put the current emu patch into a zip file and post it on your site to download.

Because it is not our software to give out. if you want this software, you should call sony.

u r probably sick of this question but whats the estiamted amount of time you'll get the next patch done?

As he logs in with his favorite character, he reflects back when he was new to the EMu. He recalls how frustrating it was to get the latest patch, only to find out it broke his beloved EMU. He summons another Heniken from the fridge.

Jeez, it's gonna be awefully quiet until the dev's get the EMU fixed.

the only thing is, i was tryin to play for the first time and needed to patch it to play...but i cant play with it patched!!!
