Question

Ok, i got this Emu and did a bad thing by patching EQ  So, i hear there is nothing you can do about. How do you make a back up of your EQ files and what good does it do you to do that? And is there any ETA on new EQemu patch?

Thanks.

No ETA atm, and to make a backup just copy your eq dir to another location. This lets you continue to play everquest even if eq live patches and it lets you play both without having to mess with eqhost.txt all the time.

Hmm

Ok so take my Whole EverQuest folder and copy it to say a folder I made called EQ2? And if this is correct does this allow me to patch eq and play eqemu after that or no? Kinda newbie to all this, appreciate the feedback.

yea.. use 2 copies... one for playing on live, (eq1) and one for playing on eqemu (eq2)

Only patch EQ2 when the dev team or supporting patrons give a patch the thumbs up, or else you're stuck till we can fix the emulator to work with the new client changes...

ok

ok So use my Normal eq folder to play eq and the folder i made with copyed eq files for Eqemu, change the host stuff in eqemu folder. One last question, How does EQW decifer from what directory is loads eq up from?

The start up window for EQWindows has a browse button for you to select the eqgame.exe that you want to run. Just coose the one in your eq2 directory. You will also need to turn off the patch option in EQWindows.
