patch question
 

i don't have eq installed anymore on my comp cuz i quit a long time ago. then i found eqemu a few weeks ago... i know that it won't work because of the recent patches and all but will it work if i don't patch at all? i mean yes i can install eq and see for my self but i was just wondering if anyone knew.

Do this
 

Install EQ, then patch it to the latest patch, then download the EQfix file from the website here and extract it to your everquest directory. Then follow the instructions to set up your EQEmu client which is all layed out in the readme link.

i cant seem to find the eqfix file... could someone point me to it please

you need to go to irc and connect to their room and ask for it... other than that i don't know where else you can get it from

You can still get a copy of this file from www.thevetteguy.com, I got it from the IRC channel. This would be more accessible then IRC for those of us who usually don't use IRC at all anymore. =)

hoose: The reason we dont link it from the forums is because of legal issues that can come up. We just rather be safer than sorryer.

BTW, we have a new patch program maybe you guys would like to try out. It requires the Visual Basic Runtimes though if you want to use it.
