Getting booted at 'Submitting name for approval' screen

I've patched to latest EQ, ran the EQEmupatcher, fixed eqhost.txt,
changed DataRate.txt to 4 (im on dialup, also tried different datarates). I can join servers and create char, but when it is Submitting name for approval, it goes a while, then boots me back to char screen)....

Any clues ? please

::Crash to server select after choosing character

I have the same problem as bajskorven. I checked datarate.txt it is at 5.0. I checked uierror.txt it has no errors. Ive checked and tried all the tips on these forums but I cant seem to get it to work.
I am trying to log onto other servers, but they all do the same thing. I am running on Dialup windows Millennium edition.
If anyone could help id appreciate it thank you.

Yeah I have the same problem to. Tried the datarate, checked the uierrors. tried different servers. Always get booted at the namserver part. This was in the dbg.txt file if it is helpful to anyone.

i feel beter knowing its not just me, i have been going nutz, i actually made it in and was able to play for 30seconds-5minutes 4 times and now i cant seem even to do that. if i sit idle in character select screen to long does the same. i used all methods of patching
and no progress. im using 98SE and have tryed using multiple backup cds i burned from regular eqlive from 12-15-02 and 1-15-03
i would just install the origionla disc and copy backups over it and still nothing, everything i have tryed has done the same thing.
eqw seems to let me sit in character select screen longer then the patchme method or eqemu....looks like we are all screwed :(

And your all on slow connections or just have bad connections to the server right? Same bug effects me, its been around for a long time now. Watch your connection when it happens, the server will suddenly start transfering heaps of data when you get to char select screen..... then it will suddenly drop the client and stop responding. Figure what you will from that. All you can do until this bug is fixed (dont hold your breath) is make a local server and play on that.
