Unknown Opcode

I set up the emulator and when i press enter world it loads for a minuite and then kicks me back to the server select screen and says Error 1017 and when i go into windows and look at the world.exe file it says unknown Opcode.

Windows XP
All Expansions
Fully Patched

I have disabled the windows XP firewall.

If anyone can help me please reply.

Guessing here...

most likely your eq client is patched beyond what the emulator is current handling. You need to downgrade it to the correct level to work with the emulator. I believe a new patcher utility was released that can help you with this... see:

The new patcher works perfectly for every 1017 error I've seen so far. If that doesn't work, the client is probably not the issue.
