Trouble, Keeps saying I need to re-run patch
 

I am new at this so... Everytime I select a Server and hit enter world it goes back to server select screen and tells me I need to re-run patcher. And I do not know how to use the updates..when I download then and unzip them there is no read me file so I am a little lost)

You patched EQ to the newest version. http://forums.eqemu.net/viewtopic.php?p=29896 , a patcher is out, try that and see if it helps, I haven't downloaded it, but I heard instructions come with the file :D Also, you should do what I do, make 2 EQ folders, when a patch comes, just patch 1 of the folders, if it don't work, don't patch the other :P

I did not see any read me file, I looked at all the text files.

I just installed it, worked fine for me. The instructions are during the installation process, tells you where it needs to install which is the main thing. Did you install it in the right spot? It goes in your EQ folder. Seems the patch server is down though, won't connect.

I downloaded the patcher and it said it should work. But then i try logging in and it keeps saying the same 'You must re-patch' message.

I think I've been doing something wrong this whole time. Define "install" as in just download the new files and just unzip them, right? That's all I ever do outside of just changing the eqhost.txt file

That's all i've done too, is there more?

the patcher is kinda screwed up because it says it'll always work, but you have to put it inot the EQ directory...
but I still can't get ibnto the char select screen......*sigh*
