I guess i just dont get it

I changed my eqhost I have a forums account but when i try to log onto game it pause's for a min and then down loads a new eqhost and connects me to the real eq am i just an idiot ?

No, you have to run EQ thru EQwindows, and make sure to not have the "patch EQ" box checked. That way, it wont keep changing the files.
