4.2 Boot5zones.bat Crashing (Already searched for answers)
 

Ok, Im very new to EQemu But I tried 3 guides on setting it up for lan in the tutorials section.... I even tried to just set up a regular server....

Now heres the problem. minilogin and World work perfectly except for the time of day error. When I try and open boot5zones.bat it opens up 5 windows really really fast then they all crash in a matter of a millisecond.. I cant even catch if theres an error or anything.

Ive also tried reinstalling EQ, Ive deleted eqemu, and uninstalled mysql and deleted the folder and rebuilt the database twice. Can anyone help me get boot5zones.bat working PLEASE? Alls I want to do is play this on the lan 8)

By the way: Im using Windows XP+SP1 and the latest windows fixes... AND YES Ive copied spells_en.txt into EQEmu.

I tried all of them on the site, none of them helped with boot5zones.bat

i've been having that problem too. the program actually causes an illegal operation in windows.. not just the .bat file closing randomly..
very odd cause its the first time that's happened to me using eqemu :)
oh well guess i wait for a new version

same here.. I can't get my server up.. becuase of that illegal operation in zone.exe. =*(

Don't know if that is of any use, but there it is just the same. Running Win98.

Most likely mine causes the same error with windows, but I disabled the error sending for windows XP because it got really annoying.

Meh I hope someone finds a fix for this.

**EDIT** Telmet has a fix for this

go to http://cecugfile.net and use his dq.sql from the binary
then copy his addon to your mysql/bin folder and run the install and it should work.

I managed to get around this because of a suggestion in one of the other topics about using the 4.1 db and adding some fields. Of course now I'm stuck with a 1001 error, but I think that is an entirely different issue. It was a pretty fresh reinstall, so I'm sure I just have something out of place somewhere.

sorry i didn't give ya clearer instructions... but if it can still help...

download the binary and the addon-> copy just the db.sql from the binary -> source that in mysql -> extract the addon to your mysql/bin -> run install.bat -> set ur status to 200 -> then see how far you go this time
