i accidently ran the patch before playing eqemu asnd now i cant coneect to any servers , anythin i can do?

use the new patcher on the main page www.eqemu.net

Can someone give exactly WHAT files it patches please? i dont want to run that patcher and fork up my eq

I ran the emu patcher.... I still get droped befor getting to the char selection screen, I think im screwed till the next version =(

any error message ? got booted to windows or back to servers screen ? what is your datarate.txt ?

Straight to the desktop, datarate is 12.0

ok, get a datarate of 7.0 and try again :)

No wonder lol... datarate 12 would probably work if your in the same house as the server and connected directly to the other computer via a crossover cable rofl (or 2 doors down from verant HQ)..

It wasnt my datarate :wink: I wasnt running EQw from my backup folder. I was trying to run the game from the LOY patched folder.

EMU worked for me forever since i downloaded it lol. Now i patched and boot the desktop at char select screen. Can anyone find their log or anything and tell me what files the ykesha patch downloaded so i can delete them and re-patch please?EQemu patcher doesnt help btw.

can someone PLEASE tell me how the eqemu patcher works? I do not want to use it and loose all my LoY features (i cannot backup my eq folder due to HD space reasons.)

the patcher checks to see what files you have and then downloads the old version on them. If you dont want to do it, then DONT.

you can always run the EQ patcher if you want to play EQ again but i highly suggest you go out and buy a bigger hard drive because your going to run into problems using one EQ folder.

dont ask for people to send you the files because you will be banned (along with the person giving them to you).

You should make two directorys. One for EQLive and the other for EQEmu just to be safe anyway. Otherwise do what I do... Watch and see what files get patched, save them in a EQEmu Backup folder and then if patcher does not work.. Copy and paste. Took me like 2 minutes to fix the problem and I hopped on EQEmu and was back to playing. Key word in all of this is just to make sure you have backups of everything, otherwise you just set yourself up in the future.

DID I ASK FOR FILES?! WTF?! NO! Anyways I do not have the money to spend on harddrives and such at this time. I am upgrading to a grand computer about June but until then I am stuck with what I got.
