Patcher Doesnt Work
 

Welp i have been messing around for about 3 hours now and i cant get the patcher to work. i downloaded and installed the MDAC thing but it still does not work. when i am run the patch file this is what i get

Error 1931. The WindowS Installer service cannot update the system file C:\WINNY\System32\scrun.dll because the file is protected by Windows. You may need to update you Operating System for this program to run correctly.

i am Running Win2k Pro

i have no idea what to do. I get the 1703 or whatever error when i try to access a server, and when i install the patcher that error (1931) comes up and then the patcher doesnt work. starting to piss me off hehe

You can avoid any updates made by the patcher installer. :P

First, grab and install the Microsoft .NET Framework Redistributable and then update it via WindowsUpdate.

You should now be able to run the patch installer.

nope it didnt help at all. i ended up installing MDAC, The Redistributable, 2k Service Pack 3, and still nothing works

tryed everything on all replyes about this issue , nothing works
im getting pathcsrv.dat can't be found when running patch.exe

no freaking fixes for this ? :twisted:
