Ohhhh, New MYSQL release. Goodie Goodie Goodie, Is it worth the time to update my installation from 3.whateverthelastreleasewas
 [EDIT] Just installed it, deffinatly worth the time for the performance increase it comes with :-) One note though is that I had to manually rebuild my users and privilege tables in the new format (could'nt get the perl script to like my setup) which took some time but could get in with USER: root with no password on localhost (127.0.0.1) [EDIT] Again, lol It is also fully compatible with phpMyAdmin 2.4.0 (But no earlier versions) for those of you who use this to handle their databases |
Wow, after fine tuning the new version for my setup. It takes under 5 seconds to boot the world server and 10 zone servers!
(ps My database is about 24Mb, so its not that theres not much to load) |
