Setting up a private server...again
 

I think I'm missing something here. I set up a private server just fine, and can play happily on it. However, when my brother in the next room tries to join bad things happen. He sees my characters and stuff, and after digging a bit I found that the MiniLogin server only supports the account eqemu.

How can I have a LAN party with different accounts without using GotFrags? Is this possible? If it is not possible, how can I set a LAN party up if I'm behind a firewall, eg all of us has IPs 192.168.0.x.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

you can have up to 8 players on but theres one plm..

you CANT log in same char at once. it causes weird things to happen then crash

Well you could find the complete login server code here on the forums and figure out how to setup your own. The problem is the encryption that verant requires when someone logs in. The devs won't release that so your stuck with minilogin. Figure out the encryption and make the full login server work and your good to go.

So logging in under the same account works? ie if I have X and Y under account "eqemu" then X and Y can be logged in at the same time? Groovy. Thanks a bunch.
