Mysql Wont Open
 

i installed mysql and everything went ok, but when i try to open mysql.exe to create a db, it closes and says it cannot connect to server (localhost) anyone know how to fix this? im running windows xp if that makes a diff. Thanks in advance

I am having the same problem. i am planning on formatting my hard drive and trying from a fresh install, but am unsure as of now if that will help.
