Ummm... HELP
 

Hi,
I installed EQ and followed the steps in the guide to connecting, but it is not letting me connect, first i tried the EQW login, and it said something about a DLL and = 0
Then, my bro said to try a dat file, i did that, and EQ booted up, but when i tried to log in, it said there was no EQHOST.txt file in my everquest directory. which there is, cause i copied and pasted it right from the website!

Any ideas?

You need to tell me if you ran the patcher, what OS you have, and whether you have found the mdac_typ.exe and installed it. If you're also missing a vb something something .dll, you can find it on the internet. Search google.

I followed one of the guides on the forum, and it gets into character creation, but when i click "Enter the World" it closes the client.

Try some different servers, that happens a lot on some servers (for me anyway) and not on others. Your best bet is the green servers at the top.
