Question about win Xp with NFTS

so does NFTS act like firewall? (file system)

NFTS?

Do you mean NTFS? That is a type of file system, that is if thats what you mean. It is a robust filesystem but it is not a firewall.
Big difference between the 2.
If you need a firewall(software) you could download "zone alarm"
or "Norton personal firewall" or somthing.
