ERROR 1017 help please?
 

First of all, I have to say it is absolutely great that you guys have set this thing up :shock: And I am dying to get in and give it a try while my main server is down, but I can't log in at the moment, I have tried re-running the patcher, but still can't get in :cry: Please help a poor n00b, thanks :D

In order to troubleshoot, we need some history about your problem.

What error message (number AND message if a runtime error is there) do you get when you run patcher?

Could not connect to server, if this message keeps appearing try re-running the patcher, this is normally only temporary.

Sorry, it says repeatedly seeing this message usually means loss of conectivity to the patch server, this is usually temporary, try rerunning the patch.

Have done so, and made no difference.

I have the same 1017 error,bah

Have you used the EQemu patcher yet? That's normally the cause of 1017 errors. Patcher is available on main site - MAKE SURE YOU INSTALL IT INTO EQ FOLDER WITHOUT THE /patcher part!! Be very slow and read everything when you install it.

not sure where to get it, my buddy sent it to me, its a zip file called "EQFIX" it patched the eqhost to eqemu's servers and changed some files and it fixed all my probs. xept the 1612 error i get when i try to install the emu patcher i downloaded of this site.

patcher does not work well
 

It says something like:
Can not conect to patch server


how can I fix it?

I closed my firewall and now it is downloading the files via patchament=) lets see if I can play=)

:shock: ok, now I know what is the real problem, :idea:

The problem is not from our machines,the problem is from the server,sometimes it doest send files nd we get and error msg like "can not conet to ...." :evil:

solution: try again un 1 min X10
if it not work

try again in a hour or next day :wink:
