This has got to be the most difficult thing to get working in the history of mankind. Definately not for the faint of heart. Ohhh, well I will just wait for Everquest 2.

What is? If your talking about the emulator, its easy to set up, all you have to do is follow the readme step by step without skipping anything.

Instead of trying to start a server, just hop on an already made server and play on it.

Yeah what he said. but if you want to host a server you will need to learn a little about the mysql server database's. :P la8er

I never even heard of mySQL when I wanted to create a server, hell, I didn't even know any database programs, let alone how to use one, I just did EXACTLY as the readme said, and I created a public server, was fairly successfull also. Not much has changed since then. Don't give up to easy, work with it, sometimes you just need patience.

What is so hard about the emulater, RTM, and you're all set!
It spells it out step by step.

Well, Do to the config's of some computers. The Emu will not work properly. Or at all. and in order to fix the problems. they may have to change settings for that computer and or mysql database. I've ran into some of the database problems in the past. And i'll tell you this. Some of them are a pain in the ass to straighten up.

Yeah. I doubt there willl be a emu for EQ2 for a while. sony and them are probably changing alot of shit to keep that from happining. but thats not going to stop it from happining. :P
