EQ 2 Emu
 

Hey, are you guys going to start an EverQuest 2 Emulator when it comes out? I'm just curious, would be pretty cool.

I don't plan on it.

you know how long thatd take? itd be like 2 years after eq2 came out to get halfway to what this is to eq1

I believe there was a discussion about this a few months ago. EQEmu is just that, its not EQ2Emu. Someone might create a EQ2 emulator, just don't count on EQ1Emu creating it. That was pretty much the discussion, and the responses from the devs were pretty much saying the same thing, that its a EQ1Emu. Working on 2 emulators would suck, if you think releases are slow now (I am not saying they are nor complaining, some others have been) just think how slow they would be if they were also working on EQ2. Why would they leave such an awsome project to start a whole new one from scratch?

Yeah, I see that. I wish I could code so I could start one when it comes out. I've been here awhile (I had another account, was banned for spamming, we will see if Shawn bans me again.) since about last year. I think the releases are coming along fine though and the devs are doing a great job, we've been through worse weather. :)
